VW SLITSCREEN CAMPER VAN 13 WINDOW DELUXE in Lyndhurst, Hampshire for sale

1967 VW SLITSCREEN CAMPER VAN 13 WINDOW DELUXE It's a Californian import left hand drive. We bought this about five years ago. The bodywork was not bad considering it's age but new sills etc. were fitted and full respray carried out. Engine is a 1600cc and was completely rebuilt with new cylinders and pistons, crankshaft regrind, all new bearings and oil pump, new cylinder heads etc. The clutch was also new fitted to the correct 1600 flywheel. New webber twin carbs have just been fitted which are much more reliable than the standard item and starts first click now. We have also recently refitted the original distributor with vacuum advance and retard. this works much better than the 09 distributors offered. Gearbox had new seals fitted and has always worked ok. Headlights, indicators are new. There are holes at the rear to fit reversing lamps but the ones we were supplied with are for square holes and it would look better with the original round ones in, wiring is all there. New brake shoes and cylinders have been fitted and a new master cylinder and all new pipes. New brake drums have been fitted recently. All track rods and ends were replaced. Wheels and tyres were new. Internally head lining was replaced. There is a new rock 'n' roll bed fitted never been used. Seats have all been reupholstered and new door cards fitted. Laminate flooring has been fitted in middle area, carpeted at front. All side windows are new and many of the catches were replaced. There is a brand new sink and hob fitted that needs to be plumbed in. There are bits of the interior that need to be finished as you can see from the pictures. The panel behind the sink is missing, we were going to put cupboards in this area. Vehicle is tested until August 2015, tax is free.
